What is "My Favorites?"

My Favorites is a feature that we provide for you to help you store information as you shop for entertainment on our site.  You can use this feature to help you, your friends, family members, committee members, etc. keep your shopping experience organized.  As you browse through the Entertainment Exchange web site you will see many acts that you think that you'd enjoy for your event.  Rather than forcing you to write them down for later use, you can simply click on a convenient link so that the site will "remember" your selections for as long as you continue to browse.  After you've finished your browsing and made your selections, you'll be presented with options to email your selections to a friend (or yourself if you wish to return later to see the same list acts again), or you can request more info about the acts directly from the Entertainment Exchange.

NOTE: Once you leave the site and quit your browser session your My Favorites list will be cleared and you'll need to recreate your list the next time you visit.  That's why it's helpful to email yourself a copy of your list if you want to remember what you looked at earlier.

Where is "My Favorites" Located?

You will notice the "My Favorites" block in the upper right hand corner of the page(s) as you browse the site.  Below is what the My Favorites block looks like before any acts have been added.  You might have already found it and clicked on "help" to find this page.

How Do I Add Items to "My Favorites"?

There are two simple ways to add item to My Favorites as follows:

From Search Results

If you've done a "search" using the search box, you will be presented with a results page displaying any number of acts that met your search criteria.  Along with a brief two to three line description of each act you will see the following options:

Simply click on "Add to Favorites" and the act that you're considering will be flagged as a My Favorite for you.

From Act Detail Pages

If you are presently reviewing an act on its detail page (the pages with pictures, bios, songlists, etc.) you will see a link on the red media bar similar to the one below:

From here you will simply click on "Add to My Favorites" and the act your are reviewing will be flagged as a My Favorite for you.

What Can I Do with My Favorites?

You have two options:

Email to a friend

If you select "Email to a friend" a popup window will appear that will allow you to initiate an email to your friend.

Here's what the email would look like based on the band selections above:

"This is an e-mail from Entertainment Exchange sent to you by Your Name ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it )

I visited the Entertainment Exchange today and put together a list of my favorite entertainment.

Note: If you click on any of the links for the bands you would be sent directly back to that band's page on the Entertainment Exchange site thereby saving you and your friends the time and trouble of locating the acts again from scratch.

You can use this email to send a copy of your favorite list to friends, family, committee members or even yourself!

Request more info

If you select the "Request more info" option, you'll be directed to our online promo request form.  When you complete and submit this form to us, we will receive a detailed breakdown of the acts that about which you have requested information.  We will then be able to respond with the acts' availabilty, pricing, or anything else that you require.  This is better than submitting the form without first filling in your My Favorites option because it allows us to respond to you with exactly the information you need in order to more easily facilitate your decision.
