ISES LogoISES – The International Special Events Society is a professional trade association for the event planning industry comprised of over 4,000 world-wide members and 41 chapters. The Mission of ISES is to educate, advance and promote the special events industry and its network of professionals along with related industries. To that end, ISES members strive to: Uphold the integrity of the special events profession to the general public through our “Principles of Professional Conduct and Ethics.” Acquire and disseminate useful business information. Foster a spirit of cooperation among its members and other special events professionals Cultivate high standards of business practices.

NACE - National Association of Catering Executives (Logo)NACE – The National Association of Catering Executives, dedicated to promoting career success for its members and the professionalism of the industry, NACE offers educational programs, professional certification, chapter initiatives, networking opportunities, recognition and awards programs, a job bank, community service projects and the industry’s most prestigious annual conference. In helping its members enhance their business and careers, NACE helps the industry reach its highest potential. The mission of NACE is “To provide catering and event professionals superior education, networking and resources to enhance career success and deliver excellence to clients.”

Destination DC - LogoDestination DC – Destination DC is a private, non-profit corporation with a membership of more than 1,000 businesses and organizations that support the DC travel and tourism sector. The organization was established by business and community leaders in April 2001 by merging the Washington, DC Convention and Visitors Association and the DC Committee to Promote Washington. The Washington, DC Convention and Visitors Association was founded in 1931 to promote convention and leisure travel to the nation’s capital.

BACVA - LogoBACVA – BACVA serves as the liaison between customers and stakeholders. Customers include meeting planners, tour operators, individual tourists and media. Stakeholders include government, citizens and member organizations. Member organizations represented include lodging, dining, arts, attractions, shopping, transportation, associations and government agencies.

AMAEA - LogoAMAEA – Association of Mid-Atlantic Entertainment Agencies. Members must subscribe to the AMAEA Principles of Professional Conduct and Ethics, and abide by the AMAEA Bylaws and policies which include stringent regulations designed to promote ethics and standards within the entertainment industry.

SESMA – The Special Event Sites Marketing AllianceSESMA – The Special Event Sites Marketing Alliance (SESMA) is an association that focuses on museums, mansions, historic homes and buildings, art galleries, ballrooms, aquariums, gardens, wineries, and other unique venues that permit business meetings and social events to take place at their sites. It also welcomes Associate Members – companies, such as caterers, florists, equipment providers, transportation services and others that supply products and services that support these events. SESMA’s mission is to develop cooperative marketing programs that bring its members’ special event sites to the attention of the tens of thousands of meeting/event professionals and wedding planners throughout the country who seek unique venues for their functions.
