Bennett got his start in New York as a well-known published singer/songwriter and live/studio session musician performing with notable musicians from the bands of Billy Joel, Peter Frampton, Joe Cocker, David Bowie, Whitney Houston, The Doobie Brothers, Bette Midler, Scandal and smooth jazz artist Spyro Gyra. Well worth the price!
Nightsong played at our daughters wedding in November 2019 and they were excellent! The dance floor was full the whole night. Everyone was so excited over how good the band was. The songs they performed were amazing from the vocals to the instruments. We had many family and friends ask for their information so that they could book them for their events. From our 2 year old flower girl to the 80 year old grandparents, they stayed on the dance floor the whole time. Thank you so much for making the reception so unforgettable! Well worth the money! You all were fantastic!

NIGHTSONG was fantastic, and of course you can quote me! The L-O-V-E arrangement is a really thoughtful idea, which I will frame for Betsy and Tim. I know Tiffany had a lot to do with coordinating the ‘show flow’ and timeline, and of course I will send her praise separately.
From the moment we arrived at the reception [Decatur House], all things band-related seemed to flow like magical clockwork. During cocktail hour, the music was festive but not overwhelming. The introductions and toasts, as assisted by the band, were flawless. The first dance was lovely, just as imagined by the bride and groom. And then the real highlight of the evening came as the band launched into our playlist. They played with a cheerful energy that captured the joy of the occasion, and was contagious. It didn’t take long for the guests to jump to the dance floor, and keep dancing until the very end. Audience engagement was just right—I think a couple of guests thought about trying to join the band because they were having so much fun! NIGHTSONG -- Super band!!
Nightsong had played for my friend’s daughter’s wedding. I usually don’t remember particular bands, but I really like Nightsong. So when it came for my daughter’s wedding, my choice was easy. My daughter and her fiance watched some band videos and liked Nightsong. I cannot tell you how glad I am that we chose Nightsong! The dance floor was packed nonstop the entire night — down to the last minute! Somehow they knew the exact right songs to play to make the crowd happy. The energy from Bennett and his crew was non-stop and amazing. They were clearly having a great time, happy to be playing and it was contagious! When the band played, you just had to dance. And smile! My son, who knows music and is a major concert-goer, said that Nightsong sounded like the original artists. The wedding was great and I honestly think that Nightsong had a lot to do with it!

Night song is the PERFECT wedding band!! Their voices and instrument-playing was absolutely amazing, and people are still raving about them. Everyone at the wedding came up to me (the bride) and told me they didn’t want the night to be over because that meant the band would stop playing. I don’t have enough nice things to say about them-they were incredible, and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

BEST. BAND. EVER.
NIGHTSONG was outstanding! From the moment they started playing people were on the dance floor. The energy and excitement that Nightsong created was awesome. They knew how to get the crowd going and keep it going all night. My top thing for my wedding was an outstanding band and they exceeded my expectations. Quotes from guests, “why did we have cocktail hour, we should have done this all night!” and “I didn’t feel like I was at a wedding, I felt like I was at their concert!”. Bennett and the rest of his band were accommodating, helpful, and skilled. They even re-made a song for us just how we wanted.

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with Nightsong for our wedding reception at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. The band killed it! Their song selection was on point from start to finish, their energy was off the charts, and their talent was self-evident. Best Band Ever - Seriously
We booked Nightsong for my wedding last week. Bennett and his team were truly 1 of a Kind. Every guest said it was by far in a way the most fun wedding they have ever been to and they kept us on the dance floor the entire night. They even let us dance up on stage. The strings were amazing… all around just couldn’t have asked for more.

Nightsong is the absolute BEST band we could have possibly chosen for our wedding. I cannot tell you how many guests complimented them during and after the wedding. Their energy was incredible and they were just so much fun! The dance floor was completely packed before my husband and I even entered the party, and it stayed that way until the very last song. They did such a good job of reading the crowd and the entire evening flowed perfectly. They truly made the night what it was. In addition to their amazing musical talents and presence, they were also a pleasure to work with. We had trouble deciding on first dance, father/daughter, mother/son songs and they were so accommodating when we had some last minute changes. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Nightsong was fantastic! They created an atmosphere that energized and animated every guest. Everyone made it to the dance floor. You can see the exuberant joy on everyone’s face in the photos from day! It was also super easy to work with Nightsong. We had a few quirky requests and they rolled with everything beautifully. The band, Nightsong – my suggestion is to book them now before they get booked. I can not say enough good things about Nightsong, they were so on point, energetic and totally perfect. We hired NIGHTSONG for our wedding and they were amazing! We hired NIGHTSONG as our wedding band on the advise of awesome wedding planner without the benefit of seeing NIGHTSONG perform. As for the performance, what can I say? It was amazing. Every single person mentioned NIGHTSONG as one of the best bands they’ve ever heard perform. And they were very careful to point out they weren’t just talking about wedding bands. We have consistently heard from everyone of our guests that the performance was beyond amazing. We have to admit, having never heard NIGHTSONG perform and only going off the online video and our wedding planner Jillian Jenkins (Elle Ellinghaus Design) recommendation there were a little bit of nerves. But thank heavens for Jilliian making that recommendation. We literally could not have imagined a better performance from start to finish. It was the first time I’d ever seen over half the guests on the dance floor before the wedding party even arrived, and we heard that comment from several others as well. Truly and an exceptional performance by NIGHTSONG including learning and adding a bunch of the songs we requested. Definitely above and beyond.

Nightsong was in word “AMAZING!” From the time the doors opened to the time the party stopped, they kept the energy up and our guests dancing. We still hear from guests two months later how awesome Nightsong was with a few “best wedding band evers” sprinkled in for good measure. Book Nightsong as soon as you know your date. They are fantastic. Our dance floor was continuously packed. they played music multiple generations could enjoy. As the father of the bride it meant a lot to me that all our guests had fun. The kids loved the music as did my wife and I and our friends. Even my 85 year old mother who walks only with assistance was rocking to Nightsong all night long. Nightsong was very versatile and responsive to requests. They went from Van Morrision ( first Dance) to Frank Sinatra ( father daughter dance) to Proud Mary ( for the 60s set) to music form today. Everyone just had a ball.

Nightsong blew EVERYONE away at our wedding from the moment the were just warming up during cocktail hour! A good friend came running up to my husband and I and was so excited to see the band perform after just hearing a snippet of their sound. Once bridal party introductions were made and my husband and I had our first dance everyone was floored. The vocals, the musicians, the entertainment quality were all 5 star! We have been to our fair share of weddings and Nightsong is by far the best band I have ever seen perform and I am so lucky I was able to have them! They are incredible performers and entertainers! For our first dance and my father and my dance the songs were done beautifully, but the best moment of the night was when Nightsong started the party and I blinked and suddenly EVERYONE from my youngest cousins to our grandparents were on the dance floor! Their entertainment style and fun loving nature was infectious and really made our wedding the celebration we hoped it would be. The dance floor was packed from beginning to end and now 4 days later and our guests are still raving about the band! The evening was perfect and we owe that in large part to Nightsong! I will recommend them to everyone I know!

Nightsong made my wedding reception so perfect! I searched for months looking at probubly every band in the area and I know I made the right choice! I HIGHLY recommend this band for any occasion where you want your guests to have a fabulous time! They exceeded all expectactions I had for my night I could not ask for more. We got married this weekend and had the fortune of having Nightsong play at our reception. They were phenomenal!! The pianist who played during cocktail hour kicked things off in an elegant manner and then the band made the night spectacular as soon as dinner began! Their renditions of our first dance and father daughter dance were five star. As soon as the father daughter dance was complete they truly brought down the house and got every single guest on the dance floor. Nightsong was amazing from start to finish. More than one person said, “every song sounded like the original”, which alone is a high compliment. To couple that with the stage presence of Bennett (bandleader/ lead guitarist), singers, and actually the entire band, the band’s gracious attitude toward the audience, and an energy that burst out of Nightsong’s instruments and voices directly into each person in the room, made it a most memorable evening.
I can’t thank Nightsong enough for working with me on the rap. It felt like a Lennon & McCartney collaboration. Nightsong made our band of misfits come off much better than I could have imagined. How they took my cryptic notes and made magic out of that moment was truly amazing.
Nightsong made the dance floor the place to be. My wife and I have thrown a lot of parties over the years with bands, this being our first wedding. From now on, Nightsong is “our” band.
Our wedding planner also loved working with Vickie from Entertainment Exchange. We will not have another event, wedding or otherwise without Nightsong. Our first call will be to Entertainment Exchange, and Vickie to find a date that fits Nightsong’s calendar. Can’t wait for the next one!

NIGHTSONG made our wedding! They are the most talented and upbeat group of musicians, and everyone was on the dance floor all night long. If only the dance floor was bigger! I can’t even count how many times our friends mentioned how amazing they were. We would hire NIGHTSONG again in a heartbeat!

We got married 3 weeks ago in the DC area and NIGHTSONG played at our cocktail dance reception.
Right from the start of planning our wedding music was a priority. So much so that we had the band booked before we knew the venue or even the approach to how we wanted to celebrate this time in our lives. We decided to have a small family ceremony with a seated dinner on Friday evening. Saturday night we held a cocktail dance party where NIGHTSONG preformed for a larger crowd at the same venue.
Considering the celebration was split between two evenings, we were a little nervous about how the flow would work. The band started playing right as our guests began to arrive for cocktails and heavy appetizers. The dance party did not really take full swing until later in the evening; however, NIGHTSONG played a set during the early part of the cocktail party that really spoke to the elegant affair we always envisioned. As the night went on, NIGHTSONG kicked it into high gear and once again their talent exceeded our expectations. They did such an amazing job working off the energy of the crowd that a lot of our guests said they were so good that it felt like they were at a concert not a wedding reception! At the brunch the next day it was clear the band blew everyone away.
Bennett was so professional. We emailed about a month out and had one phone call. We discussed our concerns with the flow considering our two-day event at the same venue. Not only did he assure everything was going to be perfect but he sparked a new level of excitement as we started nearing our wedding day. NIGHTSONG was the first vendor we booked and easily one of the best decisions we made during the planning process. We highly recommend this band! They really did an outstanding job across the board.

I would highly recommend booking the band Nightsong. Bennett, the Nightsong bandleader, followed up and even initiated conversations to find out about our specific timeline and the type of music we wanted. They could not have made it easier for me, as the mother of the bride. They were very professional and great to work with, available by email and phone. Nightsong was phenomenal! Once they started playing, the dancing never stopped. Our families and friends said Nightsong was the best band they have ever heard. Hands down, having Nightsong play at our daughter’s wedding was one of the best decisions we made. I can’t say enough about how amazing the the entire band, both singers and musicians, were. It made for an incredibly memorable evening .

NightSong is THE BEST band! Hiring them for your wedding should be a no brainer! We have used them for 4 family weddings (because there simply is no one better) and all of our friends/extended family members immediately ask for their contact info once they get engaged. We still haven’t stopped getting compliments about them — by far the best band in the DC area. Every single guest at our wedding was dancing to NightSong until the very end of the reception and has yet to stop raving about them 🙂 If you want a fabulous, amazing, fun filled, unforgettable reception, you better have NightSong there!

We can’t tell you how many text messages and comments we got that conveyed “Best Wedding Band Ever!”. NIGHTSONG absolutely crushed it– the dance floor was packed and full of energy! Their ability to read the crowd and play the appropriate songs was impressive. We very much appreciated the depth of NIGHTSONG’s song list and variety of music played throughout the night. If you’re looking for a top-notch band for your wedding or any other event, would HIGHLY recommend NIGHTSONG!

Thank you so much for the beautiful and touching song page! Our biggest highlight of the entire weekend is most definitely the band. After planning for so long and making all the little decisions I can surely say the best decision was choosing Nightsong! Speaking from a bride’s perspective, you made me feel at ease and I could trust you knew exactly what you were doing!
You had everyone on the dance floor until the very end and even surprised us with an encore. All of our wedding guests raved about you all and could not stop talking about how much fun they had dancing. We will make up an excuse to have a big party just to use you again!

The entertainment at any event often sets the tone. Bennett Scher and Nightsongs talented performers were at our daughter’s wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC. From the first arrangement until the finale the band and singers completed our evenings experience. In short, if you’re looking for a band with female vocals, talent and energy, these guys are somebody that you simple can’t ignore.

Nightsong was fantastic. So many guests came up to say, “great band!” I knew that a memorable wedding reception party is all about the band. I was hopeful but a little anxious, because I had only seen and heard Nightsong on video. All expectations were exceeded. Everyone was drawn immediately to the dance floor when you started, and it continued all night long. Several guests came up afterwards and said it was the best wedding reception party ever. The music was so infectious the wait staff was dancing!
I also appreciate how you took the time days before the wedding to talk and make sure you had everything ready in the program as we wanted it, which is a sign of your professionalism. I can’t recommend Nightsong highly enough.

The minute I heard Nightsong at a wedding in the fall of 2014, I knew that I had to have them for my wedding in Jan. 2016.
