As you know, we love to receive letters from our clients! We just received a wonderful note from the Mother of the Bride raving about Free Spirit’s performance at her daughter’s October wedding at the National Museum for Women in the Arts in Washington, DC.
This photo was taken from the balcony by wedding planner, Christine Godsey of Engaging Affairs from the balcony above as Free Spirit was playing “You Make Me Feel So Young” by Frank Sinatra.
The First Dance
Thank you so much for the incredible note and congratulations to the beautiful couple. We were honored to be a part of your very special day.

Mike, thank you for sending along the sheet music for Ellen and Patrick’s first dance song. I am sure they will want to thank you themselves when they return from their honeymoon. That is so thoughtful of you to send it along and it will make a wonderful addition to their memory book. John and I would also like to thank the band for learning the song, My Wish for You, for the father -daughter dance. It was so special to see everyone gathered around the railing and singing along with the band as John and Ellen had their special time on the dance floor. It is a memory we will cherish forever.
I’m sure Ellen and Patrick would love to send along any special comments for you to reference in the future. You are free to use any of my words as well.
Thank you again, Mike. As I’ve said to Christine, you may work with many brides and grooms and their families, but we have worked with only one band, so Free Spirit will always be a special part of our memories. Thanks for making the evening so special.
all the best,
XXX
