Happy Birthday to the US Army from…Grooveline

US Army Birthday celebration

Grooveline was honored to have been selected as the dance band for more than 1800 guests last weekend as the US Army celebrated it’s 236th birthday.  Read more about the history of the Army and this amazing celebration by visiting the US Army website.

Grooveline played two continuous hours of variety dance music to a packed dance floor and shared the stage with Howard University’s premier vocal jazz ensemble, Afro Blue, and the World Classic Rockers (featuring former members of some of the greatest classic rock bands of all-time such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Boston, Journey, Steppenwolf, Toto and Santana).

The evening was a huge success and we recently received this letter in support of the band’s performance from the event producer.

“Grooveline…by the way…was AWESOME.  Perfect fit for the night.  Scott and his team were more than accommodating and I really enjoyed working with him.  I highly recommend his team for other events like this.  We had more people stay for their full two hour set till one in the morning than we have had in last 4 years.  Kudos!  Great set list, perfect balance and the two leads were great performers with good audience interaction.  Thanks for connecting us with them.”

If you’d like to enjoy Grooveline for your own event, please visit their page on this site and request a showcase and we’ll be sure to have you attend to see what all 1800 guests and the US Army experienced firsthand.
