Each Spring, thousands of government officials, journalists, civil society organizations, and invited participants from the academia and private sectors, gather in Washington, DC for the Spring Meetings of the
IMF and the
World Bank Group. Entertainment Exchange provided a carefully curated selection of entertainment that fit into their
Annual Spring Meetings program.
Entertainment Exchange provided specialized dance troupes that performed
Persian and
Azerbaijani dances during the midday break at the entrance of their Headquarters where a temporary cafe had been setup for breaks. We also provided a trio of musicians that played a variety of globally influenced jazz music.
The mid-day break allowed time for attendees to decompress and network. During this break, attendees were exposed to entertainment from different cultures. Entertainment Exchange dancers performed traditional Persian and Azerbaijani dances in authentic ensembles. This incredibly talented dance troupe of women perform these dances from nations throughout this area to preserve the history and culture from these regions. In many areas of this region dance is now forbidden in public. This dance troupe is keeping traditions from these regions alive.
