Recreating the music of the 80’s as it was meant to be heard…

THE GENIUS OF THE GENIUSES: ONE EIGHTIES SURVIVOR’S (no, not that Survivor) TESTAMENT
Speaking as someone who was more-or-less fully functional and painfully cognizant during that dysfunctional time, I have to say that the idea of an ’80’s tribute band once held about as much appeal to me as a Civil War re-enactment would to a guy who’d had his leg sawn off with a rusty blade at Gettysburg. But that was before I saw The Geniuses. Their ability to take the corniest, goofiest hits of that time and remold them as vital, inspiring and just plain fun anthems is a miracle akin to taking a can of Chef Boy-R-Dee Ravioli and turning it into foie gras, beluga caviar, and a bottle of Chateau laFitte ’49. It makes this embittered ’80’s veteran, for one, want to throw on the ol’ Members Only jacket and skinny tie, jump in the Chevette, and drive to the BEST PROM EVER.
